As 2950 farewells Year 13 students as the new year approaches, the new "big kids" have to find fresh faces for the upcoming season

The action didn’t stop after nationals. Just a few weeks later as our glory of going to semi-finals has settled into our minds, we were ready to recruit for the next season, with previous members moving schools and graduating.

Still sad to see them go, we made posters, sent emails and pinned notices all over the school in hopes of finding people that would be part of our family for the next year. By the deadline, we gained a small group of interested girls from across the year levels.

We held a couple meetings, and they gradually filtered out, as many were not ready for the time commitment or found it just a bit too confusing. Eventually, we had a small group of new girls, first tasked with taking apart our old robots before kiwichallenge - it was too hard to let them go ourselves.
