Today was the start of our serious preparation for APAC (Asia Pacific Robotics Competition), as we had a schoolwork stress-free week to go now that exams had mostly finished.
We were keen to get started, with almost a whole rebuild of two robots to go, but we were greeted with sad news - our robotics coordinator Miss Nourish, the only teacher who really cared and helped us so far, was leaving St Cuthbert's.
As well as losing a genuine friend and inspiring mentor, for the first time 2950 was left in limbo, with no teacher organise us. We discovered that we may be picked up by the technology department, which would be a big change for us. We were determined to make the most out of APAC, with it being the last competition Miss Nourish would experience over her 4 years.
